Vacuum insulated mugs are constructed of two separate stainless steel walls. One wall forms the inside of the mug and one forms the outside of the mug. These two walls are carefully engineered to have a controlled amount of space between them. The air trapped in the space between the two walls is removed through a technical process, thereby creating a vacuum in that space. By creating a vacuum, the exchange of energy/temperature between the inside of the bottle and the outer air temperature is inhibited. Beverage temperature is retained for hours. Hot beverages stay hot for 4 hours or more; cold beverages stay cold for 12 hours or more.
